General Information – Sail Panama to Colombia
The sailboat trips last a total of 5 days. You will spend three days sailing the San Blas Islands and a two day sail Panama to Colombia. Some may finish the sailing trip on the evening of the fifth day, while others finish on the morning of the sixth day. This depends on the departure/arrival port in Panama.
If you are departing from Colombia you normally sail out in the late afternoon. In Panama sailboats sailing from Puerto Lindo or Portobello normally will sail in the evening of the first day and end in Cartagena on the sixth day. The boats departing from Porvenir in the San Blas will start the trip on the morning of the first day and end on the fifth day.
The Cost – Sail Colombia to Panama
The captain sets the price and the prices are the same no matter what agent you use. All the sailboats are owned by the captains or by private owners. None of the agents own the sailboats. All our sailboats charge the same 550 USD per person, although the high season of Christmas may occur higher prices.
What is included – Sail Panama to Colombia
Three meals per day, soft drinks, fruits, as well as tea and coffee.
Snorkeling gear is always included and you will get help from the captain to find the best reefs and wrecks for snorkeling.
The food on our boats are always excellent quality and we often get feedback that the food is like being in a restaurant. On request, the crew will be able to adapt your diet to any special diets you may need. Please let us know about special diets at the time of booking.
There is also fishing gear available on the boats, but scuba diving and spearfishing are not permitted by the Kuna Indians.
All boats have safety gear, life jackets, life rafts, VHF radios and emergency beacon systems and rescue insurance. Your belongings are not insured by the boat and must be covered by your own travel insurance.
