The Amazing Quest Sailboat

The Quest Sailboat started offering San Blas sailing trips in 2012 and has grown to be the most popular sailboat on the market.

Travelers looking for how to really maximize the San Blas Island sailing experience found the answer on the Quest Sailboat.

Quest have become especially popular with couples and small groups who are looking for a relaxed and comfortable sailing experience. Although Quest offers a backpacker-oriented trip few boats can match the comfort of the Quest Sailboat.

With a length of 64 feet or 19,5 meters Quest is longer than most other sailboats operating but takes fewer passengers than other boats of this size.

On the Quest Sailboat you will enjoy a daily freshwater shower from the boats own water maker system.

If you are looking to have good time, experience everything San Blas have to offer this is a great choice. However, if late night parties, heavy drinking and beach parties is what you are looking for this is NOT the boat for you.

Beware that berths on this sailboat are hard to come by. This is a sailboat you need to bock in very good time. The Quest Sailboat can fill up months in advance and normally no berths can be found the last month before departure.

If the Quest Sailboat Experience sound right for you make sure you book early. There is no time to waste.

Captain Goeran Persson

Goeran Persson is the captain on Quest. He has extensive experience with more than 30 years of experience on the seas. He started his career working fishing trawlers as a 16-year-old boy.

After graduating from the Merchant Marine Academy in 1979 he has dedicated his life to the sea. As both captain and Chief officer he has worked in commercial shipping, tugboats, mega-yachts and cruise ships in exotic destinations as far and wide as Indonesia, Antarctica, Arctic and the South Pacific.

Goeran’s work was on the sea and naturally his free time was spent sailing. The Quest Sailboat was designed and built by Goeran himself.

With an incredible six Atlantic crossing under his belt and his own custom built sailboat there is few captains that can match Goeran experience and passion.
